​The Run the Pines for Canines 5K

Do you want to help raise funds for the animals of AHS Popcorn Park?

The Associated Humane Societies, founded in 1906, is the largest animal sheltering system in New Jersey. AHS comprises three shelters located in Newark, Forked River, and Tinton Falls. Its Forked River facility also includes Popcorn Park.

 

Every year, hundreds of dogs and cats (not to mention lions, and tigers, and bears, oh my!) find themselves under AHS's care.  Most often, these animals are rescued from situations of abuse or neglect. 

 

AHS never shies away from even the most challenging cases, providing emergency medical care and a second chance under circumstances where many other organizations chose to pass (often because they let concerns about public-facing data and labels guide decision-making).

 

If you would like to support AHS' work beyond your race entry donation, we would truly appreciate your kind support!  Indeed, thanks to our hard-working fundraisers, the Run the Pines for Canines 5K raises more money for the animals through fundraising each year than through race participation.
